A New Era in Cat Treats: Cat Practical Spoon Review

Updated: Aug 6, 2024

As cat owners, we feel obligated to try every product we come across on social media. Naturally, we bought the "Cat Practical Spoon" used to feed the creamy treat known among cat lovers as "lickable treat" and wrote our review.

Introduction to Cat Treats

Cat treats are a method we use to reward our cats, provide them with essential vitamins and minerals, make them happy, and strengthen our bond with them. We must admit, watching them lick the treat with such enthusiasm brings us joy as well. However, the question of "what is the right way" always lingered in my mind when giving this treat. Squeezing it onto a plate felt like I wasn’t using it correctly, and letting them lick it straight from the pouch felt unhygienic. This is where the new product, the "Cat Practical Spoon," comes in.

Product Overview

Spoon and the Creamy Treat

The Cat Practical Spoon is an ergonomic and handy tool used to feed cats their creamy treats. It has a compartment to place the single-use creamy treat container. You cut the treat at the marked line and place the opening in the spoon compartment. By placing the back of the package into the moving part of the spoon and pushing forward, the treat fills the spoon, making it easy and hygienic to serve to your cats. The product is available in various colors and, as far as we can see, in one size.

Features and Advantages

Ergonomic Design:

The Cat Practical Spoon has a user-friendly design. The ergonomic handle makes it easy to hold and serve the treat to cats. The push mechanism ensures that the treat is entirely emptied from the tube, which is a big plus. The treat remains in the spoon, ready for your cat to lick. The design is truly developed with both your cat’s and your comfort in mind. There is also a hole on the back if you wish to hang it up.

Hygienic Use:

The biggest advantage for me is that the cats enjoy their treat directly from their package without direct contact with the packaging.

Durable Material:

The Cat Practical Spoon seems to be made from durable and high-quality materials, suggesting long-term use with a low likelihood of breakage or deformation.

Easy Cleaning:

Another major plus is that the spoon is dishwasher safe, making cleaning effortless.

Our Experiences

Positive Aspects:

As mentioned earlier, the best feature for me is its hygiene, preventing direct contact between the cats and the package, ease of cleaning, and allowing me to empty the treat package completely. Lola and Loki used it without any issues from the first use. They even did something they never do—ate from the same spoon together. However, I must note that the excitement was more likely due to the treat than the spoon itself.

Negative Aspects:

I hesitate to call it a negative, but the size of the spoon is quite large. It’s big even for our large cats. The reason I don’t see this as entirely negative is that the large size allowed Lola and Loki to eat from the same spoon simultaneously, which is a small but joyful behavior for us. Another downside is that it’s ultimately a plastic product.

Conclusion

Since we enjoy trying different products, we liked this one. I won’t repeat the aspects I liked as they are mentioned above. While it’s not a must-have, it’s a product that will make you happy if you want to try something new, and your cat likes this type of treat. We recommend it.
