Automatic Rolling Ball Cat Toy

I bought this interactive automatic rolling ball cat toy because I kept seeing it a lot on the internet. The ball has the ability to spin 360 degrees. It can be charged with a USB cable and emits a pleasant light while spinning. From what I have seen online, it is available in blue and pink color options.

One of the nice aspects of the toy is that it spins at unexpected times and intervals. However, from my trials with Lola and Loki, I unfortunately observed that this toy did not catch their interest. Lola lost interest after sniffing it once, and Loki only swatted it twice before losing interest.

To increase my cats' interest, I placed the ball inside a cardboard box. This method caught their attention a little. Lola watched from a distance, and Loki lay next to the box and swatted it a few times. However, even when I operated it inside the box, it did not hold their interest. As I do with other toys, I put it away for a while and brought it back out later, but they still showed no interest in it upon seeing it again.

Additionally, the battery life noticeably decreased after a few charges.

I think the fact that my cats are adults plays a role. This toy might appeal more to kittens and young cats. Given that every cat has a different personality and interests, I can say that this toy might not be equally interesting to every cat. Based on my experience, I don’t think this toy is as effective as it is advertised. However, the final decision is, of course, yours!
